Right before Dr. King’s holiday, I get this article about the brand Commes des Garcons reappropriating black culture with white models wearing corn rows. If these fashion oppressors knew the true meaning of corn rows maybe they wouldn’t have done it. Corn rows were used as maps to escape slavery.
